How to Reignite the Spark

To love — what a privilege. Real love reignites something ancient in us: the instinct to merge, to build, to become whole through another. It is the energy that pulsates within the heart of the universe and brings life into existence. Learning how to reignite the spark in a relationship starts with understanding what love actually asks of us — not comfort, but communication between two souls. In Kabbalah, our desire to unite with the Creator urges us to unite with a partner spiritually. For true love to arise, a real exchange between two souls must occur.

All souls consist of feminine (Eve) and masculine (Adam) polarities. These polarities exist everywhere in nature — both outward and inward. Often we are attracted to the polarity that is less activated within ourselves.

Love is not attached to gender, but to polarities. Eve represents the feminine polarity of receptivity, and Adam represents the masculine polarity of giving. These magnetic forces are necessary for all aspects of attraction: mental, emotional and physical.

To Experience Real Love

To experience real love, you must unite the two polarities within yourself so you can ultimately unite with the Divine. A relationship between two people is nothing more than the opportunity to birth a higher level of consciousness — what Kabbalah calls the level of the Creator.

Many women believe that success means taking on masculine energy. This may be true in certain contexts, but that shift can affect a woman’s ability to feel satisfied in a romantic relationship — unless she connects with a partner who holds a more feminine energy. True love requires letting go of the physical concept of male and female, and remembering that neither Adam’s nor Eve’s predominant energy can be subdued.

Relationships often fail because of similar polarities — magnetism requires opposite forces of energy. This is evident in the natural world, and it mirrors what happens within our souls. True love is a balance of both energies. When you reach this level of connection, you transcend the polarities and become one soul united. This is how to reignite the spark that first drew you together — not through effort, but through remembering the polarity that completes you.

Whether you are single or in a relationship, balancing the two polarities is key to ultimate fulfillment. When we move beyond the dual nature of Adam and Eve, we reclaim our Divine power. We become the Gods and Goddesses we are meant to be.

5 Ways to Refine Your Self-Talk:

  1. Catch the pattern. Start noticing your inner dialogue without judgment. What do you repeat to yourself most often? Awareness is the first step to change.
  2. Speak to yourself as you would to someone you love. Would you say those words to your best friend? If not, it’s time to soften the voice.
  3. Use sacred speech. In Kabbalah, words carry creative power. Begin each morning by declaring: “I am made in the image and likeness of the Divine. I am worthy. I am capable. I am enough.”
  4. Meditate daily. The quieter your mind becomes, the less power negative thoughts have over you. Even 10 minutes a day creates a shift.
  5. Replace, don’t suppress. When a negative thought arises, don’t fight it — replace it. Acknowledge it and consciously choose a higher thought in its place.
